Robert Hohman Obituary

Robert J. Hohman, 96, formerly of Joliett, passed away Friday evening, February 13, 2026 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.

Bob was born in Pottsville, Wednesday, August 14, 1929, a son of the late Albert and Kathryn O'Neal Hohman. He was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville High School.

Bob was a proud United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.

He retired after many years of employment with General Electric.

Bob was a devoted Catholic and a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont.

He was a member of the Pottsville, Tower City, and Williamstown American Legions. He was also a member of the Joliett Fire Company where he served with fire police.

He enjoyed watching old movies, learning about local history, and socializing throughout the valley. He could often be found listening to big band music and attending Williams Valley girls softball games.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Mary Huth; a sister Mary Margaret Parke; a brother, Albert Hohman.

Bob is survived by a niece, Rita Ernst and her husband Keith, Hellertown; a nephew, Robert J. Hohman (Denise), Clearwater, Florida; numerous great nieces, great nephew, great great nieces,  great great nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM from Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont with Rev. Johnson as celebrant. A viewing will be from 10-11 at the church. Bob will be laid to rest at the convenience of his family with full military honors in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
