Robert A Klinger, 54, of Wiconisco passed away suddenly, at his home, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 of natural causes. No services are scheduled at this time.
Born in Harrisburg, June 2, 1969, a son of Henry “Butch” and Diane (Reibsane) Klinger, Wiconisco.
Rob was a 1987 graduate of the former Lykens Christian School and was still friends with many of his classmates.
Family and friends were very important to Rob. In his youth and young adult life he enjoyed spending time with his aunts, uncles and cousins. He always had a yard full of friends while growing up.
He worked at Don’s Food Rite in Lykens during the 80’s. He later worked at the Polyclinic Medical Center, Metal Industries, and the Elizabethville Quarry.
He attended Harrisburg Area Community College and completed his training as an EMT. In 1995 he completed his Medical Assistant program at The Academy of Medical Arts and Business, Harrisburg, PA. He formerly worked at the Susquehanna Lutheran Village and the Frederick Health Center in Millersburg. He was a dialysis technician with Fresenius Medical Care at clinics in Pottsville, Sunbury, Millersburg, and elsewhere. He was adored by many of his patients and their family members for his skills and compassion. Unfortunately, several injuries and various health problems forced him to retire early in life.
Rob enjoyed cars, motorcycles and ATVs. Over the years he had owned a Grand Torino, Mustang, and others. He was a member of the 717 Car Club, the Short Mountain Conservation Club, the Lykens Firehouse, Wic 23, and the Gratz VFW.
In addition to his parents, Rob is survived by his son Anthony Yuslum [mother Tina (Yuslum) Welker]; his daughter Robyn, step-daughters Becky and Beth, and step-son Tyler [their mother Phylis “Sis”], and 12 grandchildren; a sister Victoria and nephew Llars Frederick; a brother Christopher (Julie) and step-niece Hannah.
