Robert J. Miller, Sr.

Robert J. Miller, Sr., 89, of Pine Grove, passed away Sunday evening, May 24, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Harrisburg on Saturday, May 30, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Rita C. Olsen Miller.

Bob was retired from Bethlehem Steel.

He was of the Catholic faith, belonging to Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. He was a former member of St. Katharine Drexel Church, Mechanicsburg. Bob was also a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was a life member of both the NRA and the North American Fishing and Hunting Club.

In his younger years, Bob could often be found hunting and fishing. He was also very artistic, taking great pride in his work. Above all else, his family was his world. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Thomas Miller.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances M. Miller; four children, Robert Joseph Miller, Jr. (Sue), Bethlehem, Jane Frances Miller (Joshua Levin), New York, Susan Marie Miller (Robert Armstrong), Harrisburg, and David Olsen Miller, Harrisburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM from Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Tremont. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church. Bob will be laid to rest in the Most Blessed Trinity Cemetery.
