Robert G. Schrope

Robert G. Schrope, 68, of Herndon, passed away early Sunday morning, August 31, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

Bob was born in Pottsville, Wednesday, October 3, 1956, a son of the late Robert and Grace Stutzman Schrope.  He was a 1974 graduate of Williams Valley High School. 

He was retired from the maintenance department at Ft. Indiantown Gap, where he was employed for over 20 years.

Bob was an avid outdoors man, enjoying hunting, fishing or taking in everything nature has to offer.   Bob could often be found cooking for his family, doing carpentry work or spending time with the kids.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Barry Schrope.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Border Wise, whom he spent the past sixteen years with; two step-children, Brent Wise, Mechanicsburg and Beth Wise, Trevorton; a grandson, Tyler; one sister, Lorna Smyk, Hegins; several nieces and nephews.

Following Bob's wishes there will be no formal services.
