Robert Whary Obituary

Robert M. Whary, 68, of Halifax, passed away suddenly, Wednesday night, October 15, 2025, at his home.

Born in Harrisburg on Sunday, February 10, 1957, a son of June Schrader Whary, Millersburg, and the late Delmar Whary. He was a 1975 graduate of Millersburg High School.

Bob was employed as a truck driver for most of his life. He drove truck for Sysco Foods for ten years, Metal Industries for twenty two years, and Watsontown Trucking Company for two years.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, or just taking in all nature had to offer. He always looked forward to his time at the Pillow Rod & Gun Club. Despite being an excellent cook, Bob never missed a morning breakfast with his buddies at McDonald's, a time where many conversations and laughs were shared. Bob was the type of person who would help anyone in need, and he will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind sense of humor and his ability to make anyone laugh. He also loved his trucks, his John Deer tractor, and his motorcycles.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 33 years, Brenda Jackson Whary; his children, Michael Whary and his wife Michelle, Australia, Matthew Whary and his wife Marsha, Dalmatia, Brad Whary and his wife Paula, Halifax, and Jolynn Watkins and her husband Ernie, Harrisburg; five brothers, Marlin Whary and his wife Terri, McAlisterville, David Whary, Millersburg, Steven Whary, Dalmatia, Timothy Whary, Mechanicsburg, and Thomas Whary and his wife Vicki, Lykens; nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter; nieces and nephews.
