Roger "Jake" Witmer
07/09/1959 - 02/18/2025
Roger “Jake” Witmer, of Millersburg, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was a steadfast provider, a man whose hard work and dedication ensured that his family was always cared for. But more than that, Jake was a man of deep love—his greatest joy in life was the family he built and cherished every day.
Jake is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly Reed Witmer; his two children, Josh (Ashley) and Caitlin (Kevin Brown) and his grandchildren, Caileigh and Calder, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his parents, Roger Sr. and Mary Witmer; his sisters, Reinie and Rebecca Witmer, Rhonda (Joel) Smith, and a brother Rodney (Brandi) Witmer; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He led by example, showing those he loved what it meant to be loyal, kind, and strong. Whether through his wisdom, his strength, or the simple way he showed up when it mattered most, Jake left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
A service to honor Jake’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 4:30p.m. from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc, Tower City, with Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30 - 4:30. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
