Ronald E. Cunningham, 76, of Williamstown, passed away peacefully Thursday night, October 24, 2024 at the Hershey Medical Center with his family by his side.
Born in Harrisburg, October 1, 1948, a son of the late Warren and Victoria Bressler Cunningham. Ron attended Williamstown High School.
He was a United States veteran serving in the Marine Corps.
Ron was a retired truck driver, working with Super Rite and Underkoffler Coal Company.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or just taking in all nature has to offer. He was an avid football fan and could always be found cheering on his Steelers. Above all else, he loved his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him.
Just four months ago on June 30, 2024 he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, whom he dearly missed, Jane Perkins Cunningham. Ron was also preceded by a daughter, Christina Cunningham, 2020.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Davis (James), Florida, and Jamie Byrnes, (Andrew), Harrisburg; a stepson who he loved like his own, Eric Ruch (Gail), Wiconisco; eight grandchildren, Broc (Jess), Bret (Brianna), Gabrielle, Caleb, Jadyn, Dominick, Olivia, and Emily; a sister, Brenda Patterson; a brother, William Bressler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. Ron will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Calvary Cemetery, Wiconisco.
