Stanley M. Herring, Jr.

Stanley M. Herring, Jr., 71, of Joliett, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Pottsville.

Born in Pine Grove, July 14, 1951, a son of the late Stanley Sr. and Anna Mae Herring.  He was a graduate of Pine Grove High School.

Stanley retired from Guilford Mills, Pine Grove in 2013 after 42 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing and taking trips with his wife Lisa, especially to Winchester, Virginia. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants and recently checked an item off his bucket list when his son took him to a game.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Fessler Herring, 2004, and a sister, Lena Lehman.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa S. Carl Herring; his son, whom he was extremely proud of, Nathan D. Herring and his wife Katharina, Germany; a stepson, James Rodgers Sr., and his companion, Kaitlyn Brommer, Pine Grove; step grandchildren, Skylar and James Jr., Rodgers; a sister, Arlene Klinger and her husband Larry, Pine Grove; a brother, Ernest Herring and his wife Becca, Panama City Beach, Florida; nieces and nephews.

A memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Muir. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the chapel.
