Steven J. Esterly, 74, of Klingerstown, passed away Friday night, January 2, 2026 at Fox Subacute at Mechanicsburg.
Steve was born in Reading, on Tuesday, April 17, 1951 a son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Pauletta McCarthy Esterly.
He was a retired truck driver with Aluminum Building Products, Reading.
Steve belonged to the Rabbit Breeders Association where he took pride in raising and showing his rabbits, winning many awards over the years.
He could often be found attending car shows, going to sales, flea markets or anywhere else he could collect memorabilia. He had a large collection of Hot Wheels Matchbox cars and fishing rods.
Steve was a car enthusiast, and recently purchased a Street Rod, something he was very proud of.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Debra Bohner Esterly; his children, Tammy Bordner (Mike), Glen Bordner (Chrissy), Tonya Hassle (Larry) and Steve Salsano. 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Kenneth Esterly Jr. (Ann), Tom Esterly (Fenetia) and Tim Esterly (Norma) a sister Evon Salmon (Johanne). Several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City. Viewing will be from 2-3 pm at the chapel. Burial will be private. Immediately following the services, a meal and time of fellowship will be held at the Dayton Hall, Dayton Street, Williamstown, PA 17098.
