Stewart W. Shadle, 76, of Tower City, passed away Monday morning, July 17, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, October 8, 1946, a son of the late Irvin Sr. and Louise "Betty Lou" Shadle. He was a 1964 graduate of Porter Tower High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Stew was corporate jet pilot retiring from SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline, based out of Philadelphia.
He was a member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Orwin, and the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose.
Stew was an avid golfer and could often be found out in his yard cutting grass. He volunteered at the local food pantry and would help out anyone in need.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Miller Shadle, who recently passed away on June 10, 2023, and a brother, David Shadle, 1981.
Surviving are his two children, Stewart Shadle (Kamini), Downingtown; a daughter, Missy Fox (Kevin), Boothwyn; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Kevin Fox Jr.; three great granddaughters; four great step-grandchildren; a sister Susan Shadle, Tower City; a brother Irvin Shadle (Bonnie), Harrisburg; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with Rev. Maureen Duffy-Guy officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the chapel. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin.
