Susan Fulginiti, 72, of Bloomsburg, passed away early Monday morning, August 14, 2023 at her sister's home in Gratz, after a brief two month long illness.
Born in Shamokin, July 13, 1951, a daughter of the late David and Mary Catherine Seiler Bowers. Susan was a 1969 graduate of Southern Columbia High School.
She was employed at Bloomin' Bagels II, Bloomsburg, where she worked the past 25 years until recently becoming ill.
She was an active member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg, where she could always be found volunteering.
She was an accomplished self-taught artist who had a special talent for pencilwork, among other styles. Susan also enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and sewing, making most of her own clothing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leon Fulginiti, 2014; sisters, Elizabeth Updegrove and Mary Johnston.
Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca Breech-Sherman and "the best son-in-law in the whole world," Mark Sherman, Freeburg; a brother, David Bowers and his wife Janet, Bloomsburg; a sister, Melinda Williard, Gratz; numerous nieces and nephews.
