William A. Day, 81, of Lykens, passed away Thursday morning, January 29, 2026 at his home.
Bill was born in Niagara Falls, New York on Tuesday, February 1, 1944, a son of the late William and Mary Collins Day.
He was a proud United States Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Bill was retired from the maintenance department at Met-Ed.
He was currently attending the Miracle Revival Church, Lykens. Bill was a member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America and Lebanon Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He will be remembered for his strong Christian faith and love for the Lord. Bill was always willing to help anyone in need, always being there for others.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Dianna Kroh Day on October 8, 2025, whom he dearly missed and once again is reunited with.
Surviving are his son, William Matthew Day, Lykens; his daughter, Melanie Hartman and her husband Kenny, Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Patrick, Alex, Jared and Elizabeth; two great granddaughters, Addie and Jeanetta; his siblings, Lawrence, Carl and Cindy Day all of New York; a half brother Terry. Nieces and nephews.
Following Bill's wishes he will be laid to rest privately in the Enders Cemetery, Halifax.
