William "Peanie" Morgan Obituary

William L. "Peanie" Morgan, 78, of Tower City, passed away Wednesday morning, December 3, 2025 at his home.

Born in Pottsville on Wednesday, January 1, 1947, a son of the late Marlin and Ruth Hoffman Moyer. He was a 1965 graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.

Peanie worked for many years at the former Mansonwear Factory, Muir. Following the closing of Mansonwear, he worked and retired from Dayton Superior, Tremont.

He was a member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Orwin.

Peanie was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved hunting for deer and bear. His love for hunting led him to operating his own butcher shop. He always looked forward to time spent at his camp in Potter County. Peanie was the happiest when he was outdoors, whether it would be hunting, riding four-wheelers, or just taking in whatever nature has to offer.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Donna Oxenrider Morgan; a son, Troy Morgan, Orwin; three grandchildren, Drew and Claire Morgan and Matthew Middelton.

Following Peanie's wishes there will be no services.

Memorial donations in his memory can be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 427 Dietrich Avenue, Tower City PA 17980.
