Yvonne M. Cooper

Yvonne M. Cooper, 67, of Williamstown, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Carolyn's House Hospice Residence, Harrisburg, following a brief illness.

Born in Harrisburg, November 7, 1955, a daughter of the late Marlin and Fern Shade Erdman. Yvonne was a 1973 graduate of Halifax High School.

She retired in 2022 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services. Prior to working with the Commonwealth, she was a secretary at Prudential Insurance in Lykens and Pottsville for many years.

Yvonne was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Lykens, where she was a member of the women's council. 

Her husband and children were her world. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, watching the Pittsburg Steelers, and spending time with her pets. Yvonne also enjoyed socializing with her friends in the Corvette Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Miller.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Thomas F. Cooper; her children, Amanda Cooper and her husband, Rigoberto Mora, Bethesda, MD, and Greg Cooper, Williamstown; a brother, Marlin Erdman, Jr. and his wife Sharon, Gratz; a sister, Cheryl Talhelm, Millersburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM from Our Lady Help of Christians Parish with Rev. Michael Opoki, AJ as celebrant. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Williamstown. A luncheon will follow at the church social hall.
