Alicia Marie Stakem, 30, was recognized as being the first born in the greater Harrisburg area on January 1, 1986. She grew up in Williamstown and Palmyra, graduating from Williams Valley in 2004.  She attended Shippensburg University before making North Carolina her home. Alicia passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.

Alicia was a beautiful and vibrant girl with a radiant smile who always put others before herself.  She loved all animals and was a leading member of the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. She was loved and will be missed by family and many friends. Alicia loved dancing, music, costumes and laughter. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. at Benigna's Winery, 1585 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, PA 17941.  We are looking forward to your colorful attire, photos and fun stories.

Alicia is survived by her father Shawn Stakem; mother, Cathy (Swank) Stakem; sister, Tiffany Stakem; her very close aunt, Donna (Swank) Graeff, grandfather, Donald Swank; grandmother, Joan (Bowerman) Adams; grandfather Michael Stakem; and, predeceased by her grandmother Helen Pat Stakem.
