Robert C. Bain, 80, of Donaldson, passed away Friday at the Geisinger Medical Center.   

Born in Donaldson, October 12, 1934, a son of the late Frank and Bertha Schlottman Bain.

He was a graduate of Frailey Twp. High School.  He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Bob retired from Quality Control at Post Precision Casting, Inc., Strausstown.

Bob was a member of the Donaldson United Methodist Church.   He enjoyed going for walks, the outdoors, especially hunting.   His life revolved around his family, they meant the world to him.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Henry Bain.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Nancy Morgan Bain; three children, Sally Hatter and her husband Gary, Donaldson; Cindy Miller and her husband Ren, Clarks Valley and Robert Scott Bain, Tremont; Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a sister, Marion Morgan, Tremont and a brother Edward Bain, Florida.  Nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday December 2nd at 11:00 am from the Donaldson United Methodist Church with Rev. Ira Lydic.  Burial with military honors will be in the Donaldson Community Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 10-11 at the church.  Dimon Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Tower City  has been entrusted with arrangements.
