Welcome to the memorial page for

William E. Mindler

February 19, 1958 ~ February 2, 2015 (age 56) 56 Years Old

William E. Mindler, 56, of Tremont passed away unexpectedly while working Monday morning in Tremont.

Born in Pottsville, February 19, 1958, a son of Ina Brinich Mindler, Tremont and the late Elroy Mindler.

He was a 1976 graduate of the Pine Grove High School.

Bill was a hardworking man always ready to lend a hand, build a home, fix your car, plug your leak, (although painting he’d rather take a pass)  Some are jack of all trades, master of none, Bill was master of all.  He loved and took great pride in his work in the Tremont Borough for the past 17 years, always concerned that citizens could get safely to work, school and church.

He was a dedicated member of the Little Run Sportsman’s Club, he enjoyed sharing a few drinks and talking with other members. He was also a member of the Donaldson Fire Company.

He loved going hunting with his buddies and cousins, young and old, just being with the guys meant more than getting a deer.   His dogs were his best buddies; Zeus, Jake and Nic were on the other side waiting for Bill, tails wagging.

He loved antiquing with his wife and family.  Always looking for the treasures they sought.   He was thrilled his nieces and nephews enjoyed antiques.   Nothing made Bill happier than working on a project with his son Nic.  He always knew Nic could do great things, in many ways they were very much alike, having not so quiet discussions on how things should be done.  Most recently he was thrilled with the newest little great nieces and great nephew, Rielynd Shober, Ema Burkle and Kaiden Allar along with Nathan and Abigale Frankenfield. His mom meant the world to him, he glowed in the love of his mom and sisters.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 33 years, his high school sweetheart Susan Morgan Mindler; his son, Nicolas Mindler, Tremont; three sisters he adored, Cindy Allar and her husband, Keith, Donaldson; Lisa Michael and her husband Rick, Tremont and Linda Burkle and her husband Stephen, Pine Grove;   Two sisters-in-law, Barbara Cicippio and her husband Stephen, Tremont and Cari Umholtz and her husband Jason, Palmyra.  Several nicess, nephews and many dear friends.

Memorial services will be held Friday, February 6th at 10 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt.  Burial will be in the Donaldson Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9-10 at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Stanhope School Project c/o Pine Grove Historical Society, P.O. Box 65, Pine Grove, PA 17963.  To sign the guest book and view the video tribute visit www.dimonfuneralhome.com
