Born in Orwin, January 23, 1925, a daughter of the late Walter and Jennie Travitz Updegrave. Blanche worked for many years as a waitress with the former WeeBite Restaurant, Harrisburg. She was of the protestant faith; a social member of the Reinerton, Orwin and Muir Fire Companies, Williamstown American Legion and the Hunters Valley Sportsman Club. Blanche lived life to the fullest, she enjoyed spending time at her camp at the Green Valley Campground, Newport; dearly loved being with her family, friends and her beloved dog, BeBe. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband, William Ulsh, 2009; daughter Sandy Romberger, 2010; sisters, Isabelle Lenker and Florence Kemble; brothers, Robert, Fred, Earl, Harold and Ted Updegrave. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Whelski (Paul), Tower City; one step-daughter, Joan Koppenhaver (Randy) Lykens; one step-son, William Ulsh (Diane) Virginia; son-in-law, Ron Romberger, Tower City; Grandchildren; Cheryl Evans (Kevin); Paul Whelski (Ginny); Missy Walker; Tessa Stauffer (George); Lori Mione (Andy); Kim Kreiser (Jarrod); Ronald Romberger (Sharon) and Lisa Kehler; two step-grandchildren, Camille Koppenhaver and Kyle Ulsh. 18 Great Grandchildren; Nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 2nd at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3544 N.
