John J. Wrubel, Jr., 85, of Williamstown, passed away Sunday at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Williamstown, September 1, 1927, a son of the late John and Michaelina Wrubel.
John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired machinist from TRW/Chromalloy, Harrisburg.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown and a member and former officer of the Williamstown American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Priscilla Klinger Wrubel; Seven children, Michele Wrubel, Pine Grove; Carol Pryor, Harrisburg; John Wrubel III and his wife Joan, Williamstown; Michael Wrubel, Williamstown; David Wrubel and his wife Sherry, Bethel Park; James Wrubel and his wife Sheri, Millersburg and William Wrubel and his wife Patty, Larksville.; two sisters, Sister Maria Wrubel RSM, Dallas and Helen Wachter, Hummelstown; 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, April 4th at 10:00 am from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown with Rev. C. Anthony Miller as Celebrant. Burial with military honors will be in the parish cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Tower City where the Rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Viewing will also be held Thursday morning from 9-9:45 am at the church.
